"Diver's Helmet"

My name is Kortlyn Ford-Johnson. I am the daughter of two proud parents and was born in California. My family packed up and moved to Tennessee when I was just a toddler and living in Knoxville has been all I have ever known. I am a nineteen-year-old graduate from Bearden High School. Much of my family is very creative; my father is extremely artistic and my brother is a Music Performance major at the University of Tennessee. I've always loved doing creative things such as drawing, creative writing, and playing music.

After graduation, I began attending school at Pellissippi State Community College where I initially intended to major in zoology. However, after deciding to take Painting I, I have found that painting with oil is something that I absolutely love to do. I am now majoring in Painting and after completing some core classes, I will transfer to the University of Tennessee. I hope to earn my Masters degree in Painting and go on to live a life surrounded by art.
