"Secret Place"

I moved from Orange County, NY, to Knoxville fifteen years ago. Primarily I do sculpture, but the older I get the more color impresses me, and the more important color is to me.

When painting, after the Japanese tradition, I use a minimum of brush strokes which magnifies the importance of each. I use the effect of perpendicular brush strokes to interject motion into the painted scene.

Secret Place is a small waterfall off the Appalachian Trail near Chester, NY.
