"Chainlink"

"Jail Time"

Aaron Carroll while born in Texas ditched those cowboy hats in favor of the ball cap of East Tennessee. Moving to Maryville he has since come to call it his true home and place of refuge. After attending William Blount High School he enrolled in Maryville College where he is now a sophomore pursuing a Studio Art Degree.

Carroll’s work emphasizes people and their individuality. He works as an observer and is intrigued by the ‘characters’ who wander into his daily life, those who exist on the fringes of polite society. Mohawks, dreads, tattoos, and piercings get him hot and bothered; instigating a lustful urge to work on large messy pieces capturing the genuine flaws of humanity. No need for frills and lace, he wants real people with scars and stories.
